Membership

Membership Requirements:

  1. GGC is a shooting social club, which means we have to like each other and don’t mind hanging out together. First rule, then, is don’t be an asshole.
  2. Obviously, be legally allowed to own a firearm. Minors may not become Members; they may join as Associate Members.
  3. Be a safe shooter. A GGC Safety Officer must vouch for your gun safety skills and awareness.
  4. Be ranked/classified in one of the major shooting sports: USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge. Please contact us if you compete in a different discipline.
  5. Have more money than skill. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have any skills; it means you should try to have skills, then have more money than that. The primary way we do this is with a minimum gun budget as follows:


    Long guns qualify for the minimum gun budget.

    Minimum Gun Budget is based on the retail price of the firearm, not what it is worth after you’ve modified it to hell and back. So no, the $2,500 uber-Glock isn’t going to qualify.

  6. Pay Initiation Fee of $200 and Annual Dues of $100 thereafter. The Initiation Fee covers the cost of an official Club Jersey, as well as GGC merchandise provided to all Full Members. The Annual Dues pays for the website, event planning, and other club expenses.
  7. Associate Membership: Anyone who does not qualify for full Membership – e.g., doesn’t own a firearm that meets Minimum Gun Budget – may still join as an Associate Member. There is no initiation fee for Associate Members, as they do not receive a Club Jersey. Associate Membership Dues are $25 per year.

  • Designation on GGC Forums/Website as a Full Member.
  • Sponsor others to become Full Members. Open local chapters.
  • Ability to list items for sale in the Marketplace.
  • Vote on issues/topics where member votes are required or desired.
